OK I screwed up my shutter speed on my new to me 5b and know I don't have the patience for finicky repair work. It looks like my options are roughly $70 plus shipping for repair with CLA or spending about 20 more when you figure shipping for a nice zorki 5 with the collapsible lens, cap and case included from fedka. I'd have 2 lenses for the zorki and could redo the 5b later. Input from people who have used both would be appreciated.

Patience is the antidote for GAS dilemmas.
Somewhere (probably on ebay) there is a fully working zorki 5 with your name on it. Just wait and watch.
You don't have any reason to take my word, but consider this: I had 7 FSU cameras (a couple still left), none of them had to be sent anywhere for service. Only one with slipping film spool and I returned it to the seller.
And no, I didn't wait for years.

You could replace the FED 5 at lower cost than a repair-job. As for a Zorki 5, it's a highly underrated camera with a very nice viewfinder and no frills.
