Well-known
Hi all, just got a R2S a few weeks ago and love it. Having TTL metering is fun 😀
I was wondering if the eyepiece diopters for the Nikon FM-10 would work on the R2S? If not is there anything that would?
Also, last Saturday I dropped the camera from the dizzying height of a couple of inches onto a wooden park bench. Afterwards I noticed that the finder was out at infinity. When focusing on an object that would definitely qualify as at infinity I have to focus back almost to the 20 meter mark for things to line up. That got me to wondering if everything else was off.
I did a search here and found a thread which mentioned testing close focus with a mirror- set a target on mirror, focus and then focus on your reflection and if all is well the focus number for reflection should be double what the target focus was-
did that and if that's a reliable test then my close focus is okay.
I'm wodering A: are the Bessa's really THAT delicate and
B: should I get the infinity focus realigned? It doesn't bother me but could it be affecting mid-range focus?
Any help and/or suggestions greatly appreciated.
