After 6 years with various M bodies, I finally took the plunge and re-acquired a ZI. Love it, except one flaw:
There is this rubber shaving-ish shape in the rangefinder patch. It's stuck there and does not move with the split image. Doesn't affect function but is quite annoying.
I wonder what and where it is? Is it a dust speck, a random fiber somewhere in the light path or is it (to my woe) a crack in one of the prisms? Is it curable with a blower after removing the top cover, or should it go off to the factory?
