Has anyone else experienced issues with Adobe honouring their advertised 20% discount on upgrades and full purchase of LR5?
On 21 November I purchased an upgrade for one of my Macs and tried to use the published discount code to get the discount. The code wouldn't work so I checked the offer's terms and conditions and confirmed that the discount applied to upgrades and full purchases and proceeded with the sale. I then contacted their online chat support to ask for the refund, not a huge dollar amount I'll admit.
This was when it started to get weird. After a lot of internal consultation I was first told that no such discount existed and then that it had expired. I checked Adobe's Lightroom page and confirmed with Adobe person that in fact the offer did exist for upgrade and full purchase and was shown to be due to expire on 3 December 2013. I sent the chat person a screenshot of the page with the offer in the margin. Look , its still there now (3.50pm AEDST 3 December) :

I kept the screenshot of the page and repeated a few times that the terms of discount included full purchase and upgrades. The Adobe representative agreed.
I asked them to consider their position and get back to me.
An Adobe representative got back to me today and advised that I was mistaken and the discount is only offered for full purchase. I looked at the terms again today and to my surprise they have been changed to delete the previous reference to upgrades which was there on 21 November. Adobe advises that the terms have always only referred to full purchase.
Why this shocks me after all these years of dealing with Adobe and their discriminatory pricing (the prices for equivalent products on the Australian Adobe site are often materially more than the US site), I don't know but I just wondered if any one else had fallen into this mess as well?
