Perhaps people will enjoy this website. I just found it and quite like it. There are interviews and photo essays on a collection of world-class photographers.

Visit: The Photography Channel

Below is a photo from David Alan Harvey's essay, A Divided Soul. It's about latin american countries, and it is superb.

Hi Everyone, if you have never visited meadiaStorm.org you are in for a treat. They have a documentary style that uses multimedia.

Here is a lovely collection of photos from Mexico called Heaven, Earth, Tequila.

There is a fantastic photo essay (timed to music) on Iraq. I like to see images that are different than those that we are exposed to in the media constantly. It's a fantastic essay because you see how the photographer thinks and responds to the moment. You can see the photographer, Ed Kashi, catch on to a scene and then follow it until the moment peaks or falls apart. I love how the scenes build and then pause on a wonderful image.

Maybe others would like to share links?

cheers

I've met David Snider, the guy behind the Photography Channel, a couple times. The 1st time @ a party (that's how I found out about the site) after he spotted my Leica (RF connection!) & later @ a screening of some of the videos @ a local theater. A nice guy & a cool site.
