Like some of you might have seen on this thread, I have a collapsible Elmar that had very strong "haze". After a cleaning procedure that didnt clean it all, I have done some photos and got amazed on the results (specially because I still can see some (much less now) "haze" that should affect the image at least on 2.8 and 4...
Most of these shots were made using 2.8 for testing purposes, film was Fuji pro 800.




I see no real world problem... It seems perfectly usable with pleasant bokeh and good (enough for me at least) sharpness even wide open ..
