I sometimes get a weird digital-looking distortion when scanning with Epson scanners and software (v300, v4490). Anyone else have this problem and kno how to resolve it?
You can see here near the upper left area of the rose the colors aren't true and some distortion/pixelation starts to happen. Re-scanned multiple times and the same thing happens. Is this an issue with the processing?

There are setting in the scanning software that can cause issues such as ICE, the non-ICE dust and scratches function, color restoration, automatic levels, color restoration, etc. We can't advise you unless you tell us exactly what settings you have activated in your software.
Most of us turn off all non-necessary processing functions in the scanning software and then do any needed processing later in Photoshop where we have more control.
