anyone have experience with the dlux 3 from leica?
my main qusetion is can you preset focal distance? sort of like the ricoh gr's "snap mode"? none of the info i have read seems to mention anything about it... it would mainly be a street shooter.

Hi, you can set the D-Lux-3 to manual focus mode and set the distance there. In the 16:9 aspect ration the wide angle and DOF is great, if you stop down a bit almost everything is in focus, mostly. I think it is a great camera and a great street shooter. Good luck, Jim.

Lots of manual options, as noted. Lens seems to be very good, files a little soft (when shooting raw). So far I like it a lot. A recent example from my gallery:
