Do 1/4 frame cameras exist?

For quality images on a small format, it's hard to beat Minox or the Minolta 16mm. Next step up is Pentax 110.

Has the Nickelodeon Photoblaster been mentioned? Obviously a toy, it is possible to make "movies" with its 4-shots per frame format.

Don't cringe when you see it. It's actually interesting.

The thing about Minox 8X11 and Minolta 16 is that they are very ‘hands on’ , you really should expect to do your own film loading, processing, and scanning, (or optical printing, if that is your thing), plus film slitting for the Minox and for the 16 also if you cannot find acceptable films in stock.
Over 25 years I’ve acquired all the items needed so that now my film cost is less than $1 per 20 exposure roll for my Minolta 16. If you tried to buy all the things I have now they would run over $500, at least.

yeah but a lot of thanks still!

ye, its been mentioned but still alot of thanx for mentioning it again! cause at first it seemed SO interesting and perfect for me. if the aperture was just a little bit faster i would buy it! but probably I will shoot mostly indoors and am scared of too dark photos since i mostly use expired film.....

I'm surprised that nobody has mentioned the Lomography ActionSampler.

I saw one of these at a local thrift store, but didn't think it would result in good enough quality photos to bother buying one. But, it is quarter-frame. There used to be another one with colored filters over each lens that snapped four identical photos at once, except for the faint color washes for that "lomography" cheap look that some hipsters really gravitate to.

Its funny u mention this since this is one of the first that i found. There's also one with a flash, was considering that for a while but just like the nickelodeon blaster it has like f8 or f11 i think....and with this you HAVE to take 4 pics in a row. so i would definetly choose the nickelodeon over this, but thanks for mentioning 🙂
