I'm acquiring my first Nikkor RF lens with 40.5mm filter threads and I'm trying to discern if "all" 40.5mm filters from B+W/Hoya/Heliopan have 0.5mm thread pitches?
Ken Rockwell says so but I haven't been able to corroborate it.
Thoughts?

Not sure if this totally answers your question, but, I purchased a 40.5 B+W Clear filter for my Nikon 50mm f/2 LTM and it works fine.

All 40.5s are the same pitch. It was 43mm filters that had a fine and coarse thread.

No they are not. I have a 40.5 polarizer that has an oddball pitch. However the major filter manufacturers will all have the correct or same pitch.

Sounds like if I don't purchase any obscure brands then I'll be good. Thanks everyone!

I have the Nikkor 50mm f/2 lens. I don't know if the threads are slightly damaged or not, but a B+W filter will not fit on the lens. However, a Hoya or a Tiffen 40.5 filter will. I'd much rather use a B+W filter, but there you go.

Just to add another data point, I also have a Nikkor-H.C 5cm f/2 LTM. A 40.5mm B+W UV Haze filter threads on just fine.
