DO CLASSIFIED ADS now cost $2 to Jorge T.?

Hello

I just tried to place a classified ad, and was directed to Paypal with a request for payment of $2 to Jorge T., the previous administrator of RFF.

Is this a new thing? I never had this before...

Incidently, I PAID THE $2, and my ad appeared after a few moments.

Yes, it's been that way since the started the classified section. There was a time when a premium membership could be purchased for $25 with free classified ad privileges, but that option was been withdrawn. They need the money to run the site since it's a business. I'm sure opinions will vary, but I think for the most part it's a reasonable charge, although I wish one could purchase a block of ads at a discount.

I think a couple times I've been charged $1 for an ad. Has this happened to anyone else?
