I've always wanted a black paint M4 that I could use and brass up! I have three lenses for my M6 and would love to not have to change lenses so often!

On the other hand, I have always wanted a hasselblad and got one almost a year ago. It is the current 503CW with the 80mm CFE current lens as well. I also love that camera.

Adding another leica won't get me anything differnet photo wise. It's just another 35mm... but. well, we all know about leica lust and this is the one I've lusted after for a very long time!

But I do love my Hasselblad.. though I have only shot maybe 15 rolls in it.. I've gotten some nice shots that I do enjoy!

I can't afford to buy anything right now.. I can't afford to buy anything right now outright. I either have to sell the hasselblad, or I don't buy it.

I tend to like to be a minimalist when it comes to taking equipment. I don't mean 2nd bodies, but I mean I tend to have issues when I take two different systems with me. As in I can't ever decide which to take, so I take both and do a crappy job with both, as opposed to taking one and concentrating on that and doing a much better job!

HALP!!!!!

I forgot to mention that we just bought an M4 at the store I work at a few minutes ago and so this is what has brought on the dilema

Don't everyone speak at once! :p

I think I am going to put the hassey on ebay with a reserve of $2,000.. if it sells, the leica is mine, if not then I keep the hassey :p

Sounds like your tempted simply because an M4 is available at the store you work at. Were you thinking about it before that when you could have purchased an M4 from another source? IMO, keep the blad. If anything, sell the M6 and if you need one, get a light meter.

Sell the 5D, sell the M6, buy Hasselblad SWC/M, buy the 150/4 Sonnar, and you are set, or sell everything and buy an M7 with the Tri Elmar and you are set again.

well I have always wanted one, but I could never afford to buy one from a store at the going rate of $3,000 or so. I can pick this one up for near the $2,000 range which is why I am more tempted.

I say do what you want. Personally I would keep the hasselblad without a doubt. Its a camera that I would love to own, but for now my Yashica-Mat does the job.

Chris,
take a look at the work of Marc Tucker and Michael Kenna. If this doesn't stir your your ambitions, then maybe selling the 'Blad is the right thing to do.

Take care though, you might want another lens for it. :bang:

DUDE! DONT SELL THE HASSELBLAD!!!!!!

You already have a Leica M6 and I know you will miss the Hassy later on.

I LOVE my Hasselblad and it is the last camera I will ever sell and I dont even have a Leica......yet ;) But I would never sell my Hasselblad for a leica, I´d rather save up for one.

also, some M4 BP were not brass but chrome...they don't brass well and look dirty, better check first.

This one is paint. I can see the brass coming through. this isn't a mint example :p

Man you guys are making it tough for me.. This is why I asked!!!!

Don't sell the 'blad. You'll regret it!

The M4 is a great camera, but you already have an M6 which IMHO is a great camera too.

I waited so long to get a Hasselblad, I'd only sell it now if my kids were hungry...and they'd have to be very hungry ;)

I will give you a good buy on my Hassey 150mm. You know, to make you feel better and all. ;)

now keep in mind that I have a great, minty Holga for my medium format needs..... :p

Big help rover.. big help

no offense but the 503cw represents what i think is probably the best v-system camera ever built. Why u'd want to trade it for anything less than an original MP eludes me... keep the blad. It represents a completely different arena of photography that u'll never achieve with a leica.
