My first roll of N74+ should arrive in a few days.
What I find interesting about this film is its pricing:
100' roll in North America: 47.83$
100' roll in Germany: 64€ = 85$

I have an ancient black and reddish Lloyd's. I like to roll oddball-lenght rolls. I am amazed I could find the crank since the last time I used it in the 1990s. It's just another good option if I find a bargain on a long roll, or something.

Bulk loader. I have been given two of them, along with a bunch of new reusable cassettes from friends who don't use them anymore. Its cheaper, and I like being able to roll short rolls (which gets less economic)

I have two. For low and high ISO films.
Approx six, seven 100' rolls within first year, so far.
And few gallons of fixer-developer.

Have been bulk loading for 6 months now using reloadable metal cassettes and have had no problems. I clean the felt using a Rocket-air blower, blowing from inside the cassette so I don't blow any lint/debris into the felt.

Have bulk loaded Ultrafine Xtreme 100 and 400 film so far. The 100 is very nice film developed in D76 stock and I will get another 100 ft. roll. The 400 is good, having a grainy, funky, old-fashioned look developed in D76 stock which is nice sometimes vs. the cleaner, smoother look of Tri-X. Ilford 100 ft. roll prices also look good.

I'd love to find color film to bulk load but apparently 100 ft. rolls are no longer available.

You can still find expired portra on places like fleabay. There is a transparency film available in 100" rolls. AGFA Avipho chrome 200 from wittner cinetec. The stuff right from them has been getting decent reviews. I'll probably pull the trigger on a couple hundred feet next month.

Do you shoot colour as well as B&W?

Cheers,

R.

I absolutely do, when I can find bulk rolls to work with. Black & White is always available (so far) but color is not. My last roll of Portra 400 NC is in the loader and I have one roll of Velvia 50 waiting. No more color after that.

Ultrafineonline has some color in bulk but the only thing that is perforated is some Konica 160. Occasionally e-bay will come up with a roll but you have to be careful that what they are selling is perforated. A lot of it isn't.

I just loaded my first roll last night. I bought a used loader off of eBay that had 50' of original AGFA APX 100 in it (score!), and I loaded about 12 frames to test it out. I messed it up the first try, of course, loading the emulsion side backwards, but was able to fix it easily. Can't wait to load the rest.
