Do you do anything special to your soft release so you don't loose it?

I leave mine at home, in the camera cabinet. Haven't lost it yet! :D

My thoughts exactly.
I bought a used body that had one, twenty-two years ago and immediately tossed the release into my camera bag where it resides safe and sound to this day.
For me it is just another example of unnecessary gizmo clutter that I don't need on any of my cameras.

I saw somewhere on here that Mrs. Tom A recommends a dab of fingernail polish. I just screw mine in tightly.

I used to lose mine. No longer do after I started screwing them in, checking, and then screwing in with a bit of force -- sorry I can't quantify.

I tried to use Elmer Glue but it didn't work since the soft release would become loose.

Then I used blue Locktite but it didn't keep the soft release safe for long either. But I'm stubborn since I thought there's no way blue locktite should fail that soon, so I cleaned the thread and applied blue locktite again, and 6 months later the soft release is still sitting tightly so I guess it works this time.
