Do you post pics to member & theme galleries?

Hi,

I'm wondering if you post pictures to both your member gallery area and also same picture to one of the themes galleries - landscape, cityscape, people, nature? What is the best practice? Thanks for the advice!

I only upload them once. If I think they suit more or less into a specific theme (people, cityscapes, etc), or if they're intended for a monthly photo project I put them in that folder, otherwise I simply leave them on the 'member gallery'.

I'm curious, however, as sometimes I'd have liked to have a photo both in a monthly project folder and also inside some of my own folders, mainly when they were intended as lens test shots...

Edit: what I mean is the pics remain always in your members gallery but can have ONE additional category, but no more... Or at least I don't know how to do that 🙂

I only have a very small number of pics posted and I just chucked them all into the member gallery.

First you need to login to the gallery section. The link is on the upper right corner when you go to the gallery home page.

It took me a bit to catch on to that too. I'm another newbie named Michael, maybe it's a name-based thing 🙂

I post to the member gallery and another category if I feel it's appropriate, but then I'm new and could be screwing up (it would'nt be the first time, my first post was huge -- turned out to be about 24"x36").

Hi HJ,
I'm not sure about resolution, but the advice I was given was 600 to 880 pixels on the long side of the photo. This is now working much better than my first submission -- it was rather embarassing!
