I rarely leave home without one. I really should shoot more but I always carry a Mju-1 or Mju-11 loaded with Tri-x or Delta 400. I agree to it being a comfort thing or a habit. I feel lost without one.

I carried an Olympus XA but found the controls just a little too tiny for me (big hands). Now I carry a Leica IIIf with the collapsible Elmar 50/3.5.

I don't usually bring with me the two 17mm and 45mm Olympus lens,
but as you can see there is space even for them.
And the weight is negligible.

Usually. And find that if I step outside into my car without one, that
I get nervous about it and have to go back inside to fetch one!

Yes. Resolved to do it last year. My IIIf, Ikon or M9 is always hanging over my shoulder and my TC-1 is always in the car.

Yes. Not always the same camera though. But even if going very light then at least a Minolta 16II loaded with Eastman Double X.
No, I don't always shoot, even a single frame. Got to work on that.

I too take a camera everywhere. However, I take a relatively small amount of photographs. Sometimes I can go two or even three weeks without seeing anything I feel I want to photograph. Other times I might shoot five or ten frames a day, and on very odd occasions I might get through two rolls in a day. But I find the more I take, the lower my proportion of half-decent shots. So I'm happy to stick with carrying a camera each day in the hope that I will use it but in the expectation that I might not.

Being more of a medium format user it is hard to always have a camera with me. But in summer months I usually do put a M645 with the 55-110 in my bag. Rarely use it however.

Having spent a period believing it was a good idea to carry a Mamiya C33 everywhere, my neck and shoulder spasms agree with you.

I do.
Today, it's a minimalist day and I have only my Ricoh GR1s with me. Some days I bring a Mamiya 7 with 43mm and 65mm lenses. I've even been known to carry my Hassy 500c/m + 50mm and 80mm lenses.
I don't take photos every day but I would never forgive myself if I missed out on a good photo opportunity by not having a camera with me.

I sure try. I have either a Minox 35 and Fuji XP that stay in my pocket at all times when I cant carry anything bigger. I travel a lot in the South, and like to catch interesting rodeside stuff.

I'm really surprised by the overwhelming yesses! I'm among the one or two in this thread who don't carry at all times.
Photographing is something I have to do to the exclusion of everything else. It's like meditation. I could not maintain that mindset all the time. So when I go out to shoot I pick up the camera and try to think of nothing else; otherwise, I just go about my day.
