Do You Think This Camcoder Square Hood Would Work?

Was looking for a square lens hood - reasonably priced, for my Electro CC. It's a 35mm focal length and 52mm threads. This one is plastic, for a camcorder. Think it would work or vignette? Any info on focal length, filter size variables on hood dimensions so a it won't vignette anywhere you know of on the web?

Get an HN-3 hood for a 35mm Nikkor with 52 mm threads. The one you link is some kind of a clamp on affair and is most likely too deep for film camera.

For what it's worth, I use the square 52mm lens hood from my Sony camcorder on a 28mm f/2.8 lens that I mount on my Pentax DL every now and then. It doesn't vignette, due possibly to the 1.5x crop factor. With that crop factor, the lens acts somewhat like a 42mm in 35mm terms. As the CC's lens is, if I recall, a 35mm unit, maybe it would vignette. Or maybe not. I would certainly be interested in finding out from you how this goes. I'd try it myself but I only have a pair of Electro GSes.
