For personal use I often carried two once I got a 2nd body that took the same M42 lenses. I thought it prudent to have a body for backup. I started out with a Yashica TL Super, then acquired a Fujica ST 901.
I also used those two for crime scene photos. Especially the Fujica. The aperture priority with a tripod worked well for me for low light or closeups.
Yashinon and Fujinon lenses were quite good so I never worried about wishing I had any different bodies or different lens lines.
