Hello,

i'm just bought my new lens form my friend it's a lastest leica 50 mm elmar f/2.8 collap. i just leave them in my bags because i fear this lens will damage my camera internal construction.

can everyone tell me these lens can mount with my Bessa R2 , and R4m without problem?

or it can mount but have a limit use or other issue to concern?

Thanks🙂

I have this lens and it will mount but I cannot recommend collapsing this lens with a Bessa. With the lens set at almost any distance other than minimum focus, the back of the lens will strike a ledge in the front of the shutter. Banging back there probably won't damage the shutter itself but any paint or metal loosened could be a problem.

If you don't collapse the lens though, it works fine and is one of my favorite 50's.
