My wife's eyesight has gotten so bad that a Nook reader or tablet may be an answer to her being able to read books again. So, we are looking at a mint $50 used Nook (with 14 months remaining on warranty) from a Barnes and Noble employee...or, the new $139 Nook which is backlit and serves her purposes much better.

Then I got to wondering (yeah, dangerous...I know, I know). My last documentary is on AdoramaPix and allows flipping through pages. Does anyone know if either of the three tablets (Nook, Kindle, Ipad) allows for the book to viewed...or am I going to have to do something different?

If the Nook color tablet ($199) shows the book and allows viewing with flipping pages, then, maybe she should look at it. If not, then, I will stick with the new backlit Nook.

Dave, it does NOT load on my Kindle Fire, even as a web page.
If it were a PDF file, it could be sent to the email that Amazon provides with the Kindle, and it could be imported as a document.
Don't know if this is of any help...

I just downloaded a book using kindel app to my tablet. There are several formats availible to chose from . I like the 10 inch screen on my android tablet as the book page is larger then the Nook. The pages flip just like your book.

Being a cheap guy I bought a referbished unit for 250$,you might look for an ipad early version or?

Hope this is helpfull

P.S. your book loads on my tablet also but the text is to small to read.I don't know yet if it can be enlarged

Hey, thanks, guys...I am not opposed to a good used/refurbished iPad at a reasonable price. Just haven't thought much about it.

Good to know it loads with a Kindle Fire and the Nook. What I have in mind is showing it and subsequent books to clients.

Not sure how to get this on a pdf file but will look into it. Buying new software is prohibitive as it is so I need a good, professional way of showing my books to clients. Currently, I can only email the web address.

Thank you all for the comments so far....

Had not even thought of the Android...now to research THAT one too!:)

Dave, Blurb allows you to download a PDF ($1.99) of any book you make which can be viewed on the iPad using iBooks. It looks wonderful too. Not sure if Adorama offers this.

Lots of options

Hi Dave. You can use an android tablet natively to view all AdoramaPix books since it supports flash. The Nook/Kindle are just modified android tablets. The books look great on the various android tablet screens I've seen, including the Kindle.

On the iPad you can also view AdoramaPix books using an app they have specifically for that purpose http://www.appannie.com/app/ios/adoramapix-public-gallery/ and an android version of that is apparently in the works.

Hope this helps!
