Picked up this little gem for next to nothing and I've just run my first roll of film through it. Seems to be functioning well but the film will tell. More.
It has a Wizner 2.8 45mm lens, shutter settings at 1/25, 1/50, 1/100, 1/300 and B. Top plate says "Wizard" and the serial number W1051207.
Anyone else have one of these? Haven't found much info on the net. Yet.

It looks like a rebadged Yashica J, made in the early 1960s. Pretty nice cameras in my experience.

"Wizard" was the house brand of Western Auto stores, actually a department store chain that imploded in the 80s, IIRC. Used to be one in Hilo HI when I was a kid. So, just like Wards rebadged Konicas and Sears rebadged-- well, a lot of stuff, Western Auto probably rebadged Yashicas.

I have a WIZARD 1/2-9/16 inch box end wrench and 7/16 and 1/2 inch sockets but no WIZARD camera. There was a Western Auto store in each of the two towns nearest where I lived. I think it's doubtful Western Auto ever sold cameras. I remember when Wizard air freshener came on the market. It had no association with Western Auto whatsoever!
