Sometimes I let my B&W films develop and scan by a pro laboratory in Milan.
So far I'm satisfied by the results.

As standard procedure they use Champion Promicrol developer, on request they can use other developers like DDX, Microphone, D76, Pyro...

I shoot mainly Ilford Delta 100/400 (only because of curiosity I'm now testing T-max 400 but this is a different story) which I used to develop with Ilfosol 3.
Here again I need to test something different, following suggestions of others RFF members I want to try DDX, sometimes it's nice to change our habits :)

Before my contacts with this laboratory I had never heard of Champion Promicrol and some research in the net didn't give me reliable informations.

Therefore my question, does anyone know this developer? What is the main difference with other most known products? Just curious to learn something more! Thanks in advance for answer.

PS: next time I'll bring some film to develop I can ask the manager the same question !

Robert,

Hope your day is going well.

While I have used D76 and always gotten great results, I hate powder!!!

So, in a moment of curiosity, I ordered DDX and it is very easy to use. The bonus is that I like it better! No mess, no fuss and I am getting fantastic results from Ilford FP4+...

I will send you a couple of images from the Hassy.

Have a great day, my friend.:):):)

Thanks Dave, for sure I'll try it in future.

By the way what I find good with the lab I use is the option to have the film developed and than have a wet contact print on which to study the frames and decide if anything (or what) worthwhile to scan and print!

Contact prints are great!
I hope to see your results soon, I know you have a number of projects and can't to to see them!:):):)
