Right now my focus is picking up FD lenses for my Canon kit & getting my darkroom in order.
I've got some Canon FD gear looking for a new home if you're interested (35/2, 28/2, F-1N bodies, motor winders, focus screens, etc.)

My GAS has taken a turn that is really slowing me down. Instead of purchasing more stuff I am modifying what I have to serve my purposes- I am not talking about 35mm stuff but instead large format cameras.
Current project --modifying my 4X5 Busch Pressman with a new Graflok back, adding extra focus scales, accessory shoes and making custom lensboards to make it more usable.
Next projects: Making an interchangeable lens camera out of my 9X12 plate camera for travel and stretching a 4X5 B&J camera into a 5X7 press camera. That stuff takes time and eliminates desires to buy more. And I enjoy it.

You know you have a problem when the buying and sell start to take the place of going out and using all this gear we bought (and sold).

Nowadays I only want new gear for one of two reasons:
Something new and genuinely excellent (M8.2, 24 Summilux)
OR
I can make some money out of a 'Classic Camera' column. And with the latter, I prefer to borrow; try; return. It's the playing with, not the acquisition, that I value.
Actually I'm getting rid of cameras at the moment. Lately I've given away a 50/1.2 Canon (to a friend who really wanted it, for his 60th birthday) and a Werra 3 (on condition that the recipient gave whatever contribution he thought fit to charity).
Cheers,
Roger

Does gas stop? I hope not. It's part of the Western psyche, onwards and upwards.

I have an M2.....and I'm extremely, extremely close to just buying a very, very pretty Canon VT for no good reason. I have two M Bayonet lenses and only the Jupiter 8 is an LTM. It would probably be the dumbest thing to do if I press the buyy-it-nooooow.

I have every M lens I want.
The only thing I can imagine me wanting is a Bessa III, or a starter set into the Nikon system.
Maybe a .85x MP... (Sigh. It is endless)

or buy a house.....
That would depend on whether you bought the house so you'd have a place to keep your cameras.

was there such a thing as GAS before the Internet?
the first step to recovery is to admit you have a problem, which is the hard part.

It used to be Girl Aquisition Syndrome until I found out that Gear holds its resale value better and requires less maintanance.

Dear Dave,
Hand any M8 owner an M8.2, set to 'discreet' mode.
Tell them to press the shutter.
Watch the soppy grin.
It's LOTS quieter and sounds much more like a 'real' (film) Leica. And I like the revised framelines and the black paint.
The M8 was the only digital camera I ever REALLY wanted -- until I tried an M8.2...
Cheers,
R.

LOL!
Unless you're married to a girl like me, who herself suffers!
