Does M9 have live view ?

Sure it has live view. Just like all M cameras. You just look in the viewfinder and you see the picture live. No mirror blackout or anything; The whole reason for owning an M
camera.

And I feel 'alive' again when shooting and using it. 😎

It also has zoom capabilities now. Just make sure there is nothing behind you as you zoom out and aren't near a drop off as you zoom in. :^)

I'd be willing to bet a meal that the next digital M will have live view. It's such an easy feature to add for them. A lot of the Leica clones have it like the olympus pen, the Fuji X100, the Leica X1. Why not just put it in there, that way the newcomers will have something familiar. Leica will never rid themselves of manual focus lenses and the rangefinder window. It's what makes a Leica a Leica. But adding consumer features like live view will bring in buyers.

Other possibilities include doing away with a physical shutter entirely in 2 or 3 product generations. Then you'd have a silent Leica again. Or even adding a movie recording ability.

That's the great thing about the future, you can imagine it however you like.

All M's have an original live view.
The current digital camera's live view is live view until you press the shutter button.
Guess what, when you press shutter button then the live view becomes lag view.
