does someone have a copy of "Restoring the Great Collectible Cameras 1945-1970"?
Hello, I would like to ask forum members if anyone owns a copy of the book "Restoring the Great Collectible Cameras 1945-1970" by Thomas Tomosy.
I am considering a self repair on a Contarex Bullseye with shutter capping symptoms. While I have heard that the book I mentioned covers information on fixing Contarex cameras, I am curious if shutter capping also is an issue dealt with in the book.
Thank you.

Hello. Yes, I have the book and just looked at the chapter for the Bullseye. It does describe how to remove the body casting, and to gain access to the shutter tension adjustment. That should get you what you need to deal with the capping issue.
By the way, it doesn't mention capping specifically. But shutter capping is often resolved by setting the tension properly, and cleaning plus re-lubricating the shutter mechanism.
Good luck
