Today I just started researching the M9 and M9P.
On the B&H website, it lists the M9 as having an ISO range from 80-2500. The M9-P range on the other hand is 160-2500.
Does this mean that the M9 can produce ever so slightly better results? Or am I missing something?

i believe they have the same ISO setting capabilities ... they use the same instruction manual. ISO 80 on the M9/M9-P is to allow use of larger lens openings in daylight, but it does compress the dynamic range a little bit as the sensor's native sensitivity is ISO 160.

It's a typo. They both go from 80-2500. But yeah, it's a fake 80, the image is adjusted in camera to compensate for the off exposure.

The only thing I wish was different on the M9. I'd love a real 80 ISO, or even lower. I don't need 2500, I need 25.

Why do you need 25 when you have 1/4000s? You want wide open and motion blur......?

Now that Kodachrome 25 isn't around anymore, why not?

Isn't that what an ND filter is for?

By this definition all settings other than base ISO are fake, as they are obtained by amplification, the sensor will always deliver the same output.
