the cl with 40/2 from rayg just showed up today and the m3 i sent arrived at his door today also.

yes, joe. The photos you posted don't do it justice. I actually love the covering. And to think I already had a black aki cover picked out. I like it so much, in fact, that I don't even want to cover it with a Luigi case.

Luigi is crafting me his version of the black Gibson braid strap (wider and more intricate than the one on his website), with no shoulder pad. I think it would look great on the M3, with the black 50 lux mounted. I'll post a C&C when the strap arrives. He said it should be ready next week.

Hey, Joe, please post some shots when you get the Luigi case for your CL. I'm considering getting one for my CL and would like to see yours first, particularly with the wrist strap.

the wrist strap is from m classic but this time i wanted to try luigi's.

the case improves the handling and feel of the cl significantly. i love it.

See them? Heck, I've got copies saved into my "Leica CL" folder on my computer! (smile)

But I would like to see how the wrist strap looks. Guess what I'm really wondering is how secure the Luigi case is on a CL when used with a wrist strap since there doesn't appear to be any real attachment between the case and the CL (unlike the M cases which have little snap straps going around/over the lugs). And while I can imagine the neck strap, combined with the weight of the CL, keeping the CL in the case I've wondered how well that works with a wrist strap. So, show us a pic when you get it (even if it is with the M Classics strap instead of a Luigi strap). Thanks, Joe.

that third shot shows the cl with case and m classic strap.

when i'm out with that set up i usually hold the camera with my thumb and fore finger around the lens and the camera resting in my palm. when shooting the camera is held by my hand.
the case is also on pretty tight. it takes a fair amount of back and forth to get it off when changing film.

the mclassic strap is no more. but email them and ask if they have any stuck in a drawer someplace. you never know...

that hood is big eh? and my digital was pretty close too. just some fast shots.

i'm looking forward to shooting with the 21/40 combo together.

i have made a quick decision and i'm not gonna keep the 40/2 summicron.

there was plans for testing against the 40/1.4 cv lens but i want to shoot not test. i don't want two 40mm lenses and i think i'll just stick with the newer gear.
