Doing this more often

I'm still new to slide film but how would I achieve this look more often. Is it exposing the film to heat, underexposing it? Letting it expire?

Two options come to mind.

1. Use Lomography film, like this: http://www.adorama.com/CZLSF363.html

2. .....I can't find the second one. There was a film I read about just the other day that is a copy of an old Emulsion process from the 50's that is supposed to give that old world look. If I find it again I'll post it.
