It's not just you Keith.. I see it too.. perhaps Chris was using XP2? I've seen purplish casts with XP2 in the past.
Chris, these (and the others) are just..well.. creepy.. keep up the good work
Cheers,
Dave

Its a tone I imparted to them. The film was scanned as greyscale, so the film didn't affect the color of the final images. Plain grayscale is ugly, prints almost always look nicer with a tone added, either in the darkroom (as I used to do with Selenium or ThioCarbamide toners) or in photoshop for scanned film or digital camera photos. These were all shot on Tmax 3200.

Chris, what an unusual find. I'm sure a bit of research on the place might be interesting.
How are you rating and shooting the TMax 3200 and how are you developing it?

I found a photo of a baby buried in the trash there, a studio picture from a place like Sears or Olan Mills. It had the little girl's name and birthdate and age when the photo was taken. She would be about 18 now. I wonder where she is? I photographed the picture with the dolls but have not gotten it scanned yet.
The Tmax 3200 is shot at EI-1600 and developed in Tmax Developer 1+4. My tech info link in my signature lists my tested dev. times for the different films I use.

ah.. okay about the link, thanks Chris. I'll check it.
BTW: I was wondering if you rated it at 1600, now I know.

Shooter of Film...
Okay...I like the work you're doing but now I'm gonna have weird dreams about dolls...
And like Dave said above they are sorta "Creepy" but I mean that in a good way...you know...
I've actually stayed away from this thread because they scare me...a little...

LOL!
They are kind of creepy, at least some of them. The most recently posted one, #62, is probably the creepiest of all of them I will put up. I have a lot more films to go through and scan photos from, so I may not be remembering all of them, but I think the eyes on the Cricket Doll in #62 is the scariest. Cricket Dolls were made in the late 80s when I was a kid. It was a talking doll! You put special cassette tapes in her back and her mouth moves with her voice from the tape. Think about THAT! She can actually talk (with batteries and the special tapes...don't know if the one I photographed still functions).

Chris, I love the entire series. The current installment is great.
The bad news is that Keith and Dave have demonstrated that I am even color-blind in black & white.

Cool! Funny you posted that today, because last night an old friend here in Ft. Wayne sent me a link to a musician's website. The song he linked me to was called "Creepy Doll" and is about buying an abandoned house and finding an old doll living in it who follows him around and talks to him!
