Thank you very much Lynn!

What a lovely picture... it has been like a special gift! Thank ou from our hearts... Merry Christmas and happy new year to youalso!

My son has something special with water. It doesn't matter if it's the sea, a river... he will be so happy playing with the waves while he is surfing, or he is playing in a canoe... he always wnts to be in the water.

That day we were in Tarbes and he saw an artificial "water source" and he went running to it. I think: there is the portrait!! So I took my camera and went to make the portrait.

My son and the water

Not a father myself (so far), but your pictures make me feel a bit what it must be like to watch little people grow up! Phantastic work indeed!

You have a beautiful family! I like very much the way you photograph your family, you manage to merge documentary and artistic style in a natural way. Love it.

Thank you very much giulio stucchi, retinax and robert blu!

One more... from the kitchen:

"I was preparing the tea and our afternoon snack (a pancake of banane+eggs+whole oatmeal). My son asked me for music, so we go into youtube and selected "New Amsterdan" of Moondog) and he ran to his room. When he was back, he had the book he was reading those days and said "Daddy! I will read by your side, while you are cooking!".

It was so beautiful moment... that I went for my camera and made the portrait. Little moments, special moments, great moments. Love them!"

Xabier, this thread is pure magic. Up there with some of the best on RFF from Petronius, Helen, Vince, Chris, and others.

I intimate documentary photography of my family is my favorite subject, but I also find it the hardest to capture. Your skill and eye for the right moments make it look so easy!
