Adorama currently has a black canvas bag "similar to the F5-XB",
on sale for $39.99; "Tamron Domke" is stitched in huge letters.

If you prefer the more discrete real thing, I have a navy blue Domke
F5-XB, new in bag with tags that I will sell for $40 shipped to USA...

"Excelsior, you fathead!"

Is it not just a label stiched at each end - so would come off easy? The original bag has a smaller one in the bottom right corner.

Depends. If you have the canvas version, they certainly don't come off anywhere close to "easy". In fact, if you're not careful, you'll ruin the canvas :/

Yes, airds, that's all the "Domke Tamron" label is. A tag or ribbon stitched to the bag at each end. I bought this bag from Adorama (total was $50 including shipping) and did exactly what you suggest - cut the tag off at each end (took me all of about 3 minutes with a small pair of scissors). And as far as I can tell by comparing them in hand side-by-side this bag is exactly the same as the regular Domke F-5xb. Been carrying mine now for only a couple of weeks but really like it for around town, all-day carry (as opposed to say, a larger bag to carry piles of gear on major outings, I guess...).

No Crasis, my bag is definately canvas (bought from Kodak in the U.K.) and has the small red Domke (~50mm) label in the bottom right hand corner only stitched at each end - and as vrgard says in a previous post, the Tamron-Domke bag has the same design - it certainly looks like it in the image too - and will be easily removed.

Go for it guys if your in the market ......

I agree, Chris. Exactly why I grabbed one from Adorama for $49 including shipping. Still, someone should buy yours if it's in good condition as it's still cheaper and someone else may prefer yours since it's in blue. And, again, for whatever it's worth to anyone else, I think this is the best all-around, carry everywhere bag for the Leica M cameras. Heck, I dropped into my local high-end camera/Leica store recently (fyi - they had about 30 of the Domke Tamron bags sitting on a table in the front of the store at a price of $79) and one of the guys behind the counter, upon seeing mine with two Leica M's and an extra lens and some film made the comment that "gee, that sure is a perfect fit!"

These are back in stock at Adorama for $39. Shipping was a killer $9 something, so I added a Hoya RM-72 and some other goodies.

My brother has a Domke F-5XB. Its a very convenient bag, but its so small it looks like a purse.

Still very tempting at this price, even though I hate Adorama.

yeah well...

yeah well...

just don't attach your gold or silver pins on it 😛

and you could always take your chances at tri state for $27.99 or so, they also sell on ebay, but I think Adorama, while not a B&H, will usually deliver.

I want to make my own bag. Canvas or something like it, waterproof, simple and colorless - not a "camera bag"

cool

Maybe you should contact Woody Harrelson ? 😛

I just got one of these, how does one take the tamron/domke label off completely? I can see that using scissors at the edge will get 98% of it off, but I'd like the label completely off if possible. The strap is way funky, but the bag itself is very nice once that tamron/domke thing can come off.
