Don't know how to do it - help needed please

I'm trying to start a thread and include a photo.
I have a scanned image to include and don't know how to do it.
What is a URL?
The scan has a name, do I just type it in the request for URL box?

You need to attach your photo to the post.

Go into advanced mode when you are typing your post, and look for the icon like a paper clip. Then click to select the photo on your computer to upload to the rangefinderforum computer.

URL's are the http://www sort of thing if you already have your photo on the internet. But you do not need them for the attachment method outlined above.
