There's absolutely nothing wrong with collecting unemployment insurance. There should also never be any shame in it.

As far as I'm concerned, the people in government who are supposed to be running the country have failed the majority of Americans. I'm talking about both parties. It's a sad day here in the US of A, and one that I never thought that would come around again. I missed the first Depression, and I'm sorry to say that I'm not hopeful that this one will be overcome with the success that the previous one was.

Absolutely. That's why it's called INSURANCE. How many of these 'sturdily independent' types would refuse to collect on their camera insurance if they'd been paying for it for years, and their camera was stolen? Because jobs can be stolen too...
