Wow, looks great Jan. Wish I'd known earlier.....made plans for this weekend already. Weather's supposed to be fantastic in TO this weekend too....
Guess I'll have to enjoy this vicariously through your photos...

D-M3 ... yes it's a big event. Lots of things to see and shoot. This year there are 144 participating homes, churches and buildings.. should be really good .

If you have a change you can always check this thread to see if there is a consensus to have a beer up.

have a good one!

I'm not sure about the meeting, so many things to shoot 🙂 and it is only 12 hours in a day!
Anyway, if you will see a guy with black M6 do not hesitate to introduce yourself 🙂

Have a nice shoots.........

looky - loo???
Under the strict definition it's someone who wants to take in the show but not pay. It's also used for any annoying gawker, such as those who slow traffic when going by an accident scene.

Jan,
Thank you for this post, sounds like a very interesting event. I'm new to Toronto and never attended sometjing like this. I wish I knew about it a few days ago. Spend an hour trying to figure out what I'd like to see and set up some plan... no way in such short time, as well as I don't especially know which buildings are worth to see. So, I don't know if at 5 o'clock I will be somewhere at downtown, but everything's possible. So Fion McCools? Is it a pub or what?
Eduard.

Seems there is no consensus to have a beer today. Now I'm heading to downtown but won't be at Fion, sorry. If you see somewhere around the guy with Nikon Fm3a SLR "I hate to say, it's probably me" (c) Sting, Clapton, Kamen
Cheers,
Eduard.

Ed, just got back and see you wrote! Oh well, find a nice patio somewhere and we can pretend we actually met. I remember you from the meet down at the Distillery. I'm heading out again now so....

If I see you, I'll say "hi"

Yeah, probably we need handhelds with web access 🙂 I was near Fion MacCools but at 4:20 not 5 o'clock. Desided not to wait but to spend time for street shooting at Queen St east of Spadina Ave instead. Mostly disappointed by huge lines to some buildings in downtown and "no photos inside" in old city hall. So, no interier shootings, just carried my Kiev-4 with fast (100ISO) film for no reason (fortunately I didn't take my tripod with me). Gave up for today, I can do street photography any day. As well as my wife and I had a night walk till 1 am, she carried my tripod and I was looking for night scenes worth to be burnt on film (maybe got one).
Eduard.
