using the premise that buying a 28mm lens when i have a 25 and a 35mm lens is not a dumb thing to do...which would you buy...a lovely older canon 28/3.5 or a newer but used cv 28/3.5?
i don't have a line on the cv lens but i have been offered a canon 28mm lens at a good price. it would be used on the zi camera as it's the only camera i have with the proper framelines built in, so no need for a finder.
i know i like the canon cause i had one before. i assume the cv is a great lens from all i have read about it.
the rub? for me, i have been seeing the zeiss as my 'modern' camera and using the more contrasty zm lenses with it. i doubt that i'd ever get the zm 28 because of cost mostly. the cv lens likely would be more in line with the contrast of the zm lenses.
but then i just 'won' a canon 85/2 for use on the zi also (has the framelines), of course i think it's higher in contrast than the canon 28.
ok, confused yet?
i'd like to decide this soon so any wisdom passed my way would be greatly appreciated.
