dopey question...maybe

i've decided to skip a 28 (for now anyway). though the canon 2.8 (currently on sale in another post) is tempting as i've never had one...

time for shooting pics now and to stop buying...maybe i should have another sale too...

Joe,

I had a 28 f3.5 Canon and replaced it with the Voigtlander. The Voigtlander outshines the Canon in sharpness and contrast. It's a wonderful lens. You can't go wrong with it.

joe,
I owned a CV 28 for a brief while and sold it. NOT because it was a poor lens but because it was(for me) too close to the 35. And it's much closer to the 25. I am now very happy with 12,35,50 as a progression from wide to normal.
My take on this is:
Keep shooting the 25. If that Canon is calling out to you answer. But not in my opinion because of the FOV.
Or just spend the $ on beer and hookers. Oh, wait, forget the beer. 😀

i think i'll stick with a former plan...save some $$ and get the zm 50.
then i'll have 25/35/50 which i would estimate is going to cover more than 95% of what i shoot. i'll have the canon 85 for longer if needed/wanted.

and as part of the plan, the m3 is really the go to kit for long, 50/90/135.

Now that sounds like a plan.

Me too, M6 with 35 parked on it and M3 for 50 and hopefully 85mm.

I use a 28 with either as I have an external 28mm finder and the wide DOF makes focusing easy.
