DPReview article on the Nokia 808 PureView

Apparently nobody posted this before, a link to a DPReview article about the Nokia 808 Pureview.

It is a bit obsolete as a phone, but the camera tech is impressive and promising, with that big 41Mp sensor and clever use of oversampling. Good, fastish Carl Zeiss lens as well.

Would any RFFer be tempted?

I think it's great work by Nokia on the imaging side of things, but the extinct OS and un-appealing physical design of the phone mean I wouldn't be tempted personally.

The camera functions here seem quite formidable, but Nokia seems to be the kind of company where innovations from one department don't easily show up in another... This might just as well be dead in the water.

I will try to get this phone, but I don't think I am prepared to pay the full price for any current phone over 50 euro.

I want so much to love this phone but I think most people are not even willing to consider a phone the runs on Symbian nowadays.
