As a new Leica camera & lens owner, here are the first of many dumb gear questions:
1. The correct hood for the second version of the dual range Summicron lens, vintage 1961. Leitz hood #12585 would appear to be correct. True or false?
2. The body in question is an M5. Luigi's half case is exquisite. Unfortunately, well beyond my means at the moment. Is there an affordable half case alternative until my camera buying budget is restored?
3. General polarizer question: Does a polarizer filter have the same effect of darkening blue sky on color & b&W negative film as it does on color transparencies? I know, dumb rookie question.
