My DR Summicron will not focus past 10 m once mounted on the Zeiss Ikon. And it won't even to mount with the lens set to infinity.

It's not a problem, I can use other 50 mm's, but just a heads up to all ZI/DR owners/potential owners.

The Zeiss Ikon camera have the same shutter of the Bessa R2A. Thies camera, as all the Bessa M cameras, don't work in combination with the DR Summicron 50 (that i own, also as the Bessa R2). See the Bessa R2 section on the Stephen Gandy site, for more info about this incompatibility.
Ciao.

They may both be incompatible with the DR Cron, but the Zeiss Ikon's shutter is improved (i.e. different) from the one found on the Bessas: http://elekm.net/zeiss_ikon/pages/comments_other_bm.html

It's Stephen Gandy's and not Cosina's site that points out the so-called "restriction" about an "off-brand" lens made 50 years ago. I don't think Cosina or Zeiss would ever bother to mention arcana like this which could be perceived as a shortcoming by some people.
