Just had a min. to checkout an unused-by-me 2nd hand store on a resent visit to a town I used to live in (14ya). Enshrined in the original box (yes! w/a little lock) was a set of chrome extension tubes w/w looked to be LTM + end caps. A quick $15 sale and they were mine! HOWEVER, on returning to my domicile a fast connect with my canon P revealed a flaw ! That's right friends, this extension tube set only fits an asahiflex! One of the evil SLR's you've no doubt heard about. It is I, believe, a M-37 thread, yup, too small for any camera that I have, or have ever owned. A rapid search of E-bay proved futile. Beware! Do your research or you two may one day be the owner of a nicely made miniature barrow, with screw-in caps. My only Solis is that now I own yet another piece of photographic history. Sure wish some made adapter rings.

Well, that made me smile - I can imagine you initial excitement and then .....
Could happen to most of us I guess, and hence the smile!

I have a small box of such "finds" over the years. You roll the dice. Sometimes you win, sometimes you shrug, smile, and drop them in the box. :)

Don't worry too much:

- Extension tubes on rangefinders tend to be mostly useless anyway, unless you want to do macros, have a tape measure ready, and are ready to do a lot of calculations.

- It's an excuse to get an original Asahiflex :p
