I had a similar problem with dismounting and it's so true - no one mentions it, ha ha. Thicker toothpicks that are circular in diameter worked decently for me.

I find this lens renders works best in natural light; tungsten/incandescent lights makes for some overly warm colours I find more challenging to correct. This is on an M9 though. How do you find it on the M?

Love this lens. I've had a few offers on it but i dont plan on ever selling.

It's a nice pic but it looks like a very low contrast lens, as if this example had haze in it.

yes, i'm finding that true about using this lens in natural light.

i've found that if I hold the camera body in my left hand, the lens with my right, I can use the left edge of my left thumb to just press the release button to release the lens. The release button doesn't need to get depressed too far down.

Just a tip for filters with this lens, I use a 72-77mm step up ring. That keeps some space between the back of the filter and the bulbous front element and allows me to use the filters I already have in that common size.

Congrats. Looks like a fun lens.

You might want to check out using a Heliopan UV filter specifically marked "Digital." These filters marked "Digital" have both UV and IR filters that make for better histograms by eliminating signals that are not visual information.

I use "Digital" filters on my Monochrom with great results, and I suspect that on your color digital camera with a CCD sensor that you would get more contrast and more saturated color. Basically the use of the Digital filter lets me hit the sweet spot of the sensor, boosts signal, and eliminates noise where I can expose more to the right. These filters definately allow me to expose more to the right.

Add this to the step-up ring mentioned above.
