I think I need a good point and shoot digital.
I just finished scanning shots from a family weekend, taken with an Olympus Stylus Epic II. Nothing wrong with the shots, for the most part, just family snaps. The problem is with the quality of processing. Walgreens did the negatives for $2.50 and that’s great, but their process is so sloppy that the negatives are dustier than my worst home developing efforts on my worst day. In short, each shot needs a ton of spotting to be worth keeping.
It just seems like too much work for snaps.
I could drive my film across town and pay top dollar for pro processing, but again, that seems a lot for family snaps.
Headed out again this weekend…thinking I’m going to take my old Canon 300D…looking for a plastic bag to keep it safe in the wave runner.

do you plan on doing anything other than basic family snaps with it? If not, almost anything will do the job.

Yea, probably any point and shoot will do for this...still, I can't help but want better quality if I can get it. Never know when it might be put to other uses.
Water proof isn't usually an issue, though it would be great this weekend.
I do my own black and white, but I'm just not going to start processing color. I don't like it that much and shoot it on vacation because my wife hits me when I show her black and white family pictures.
