Somehow the camera slipped out of my hands and fell on the floor. Film door jumped open and the film exposed to some light... I closed the door as fast as I could (not that that would have saved the film) and rewinded it under a black t-shirt
Will it be ruined?

Camera looks ok, but the pressure plate came off. Did mount it back on the door, but looks like one of the points that hold it on the door is missing. Any way of fixing this?

And at $17 IIRC those Gordy straps are well worth there money. I have two, one for my R-D1 and 1 for my Leica M2. I added carabiners to each so I can hook them to my belt loop when I need both hands free and nothing dangling from my wrists (like when going to the men's room 😛 ).

Mine got knocked off a table onto a hard surface floor, the door flew open, the pressure plate broke off, including the pins that hold it. The plastic window over the film counter went inside the camera. So I glued the pressure plate on, shook out the plastic window and tossed it and everything works fine. Ya gotta suffer battle damage once in a while.

My bessa would have dropped if I had the shoulder strap on my shoulder or wrapped around my hand as I usually have. But I was about to rewind... One learns by making mistakes I guess. Too bad that the film contained my photos of Maceo Parker at a concert. Murphy's law?

Thanks danwilly. I will give the glue a go. Did you notice any missallignment of the rangefinder after the drop?

Just noticed the little window of the frame counter is no longer in place. Will that be a bad thing (as in: will it hurt the camera if moisture/dust gets in there).

@ danwilly: Thank you so much, that's very kind of you. I must admit: it does help having a CV 50mm/1.5 Nokton and a roll of Neopan 1600 in the Bessa.

btw: I glued the pressure plate back in place with glue (the kind that dries in a few seconds). Let's hope for the best...
