My summiarit took a nice dent to the front metal part, the M2 lost a bunch of vulcanite, Im only dismayed because now the 50mm seems to be stuck onto my camera 🙁

The manager at Ritz was impressed enough today to give me a job, and I break my f*cking M2. Thats some nasty Karma.

All is always good, I agree, I just want to shoot. I've been going through 4-6 rolls a day and Im much more fond of the 35 as to the 50. And being 19 and in college, I wont even be able to afford to fix it.

Sorry to hear that, but don't swear on your camera, it's f*cking you who dropped her, isn't it...?

Sorry to hear that the M2 got dropped..

But why's the lens stuck onto the body? Is it the release catch that's got bent? In that case, with a jewelers' screwdriver, you can remove the center screw, and pull the catch away. Might make it easier to remove the lens and check what's happened to the bayonets on the lens and body.

No, it's just a zero-sum event flow. Now it's up to you to uneven the score by fixing your M2 🙂

owie. maybe something in the mount got bent. if worst comes to worst, the body casting could be unrepairable.

Yeah Im gonna go down to the PCE tomorrow and pick up a VIDOM, dump some Nikon stuff, and hopefully fix my baby.

Yeah that darn Summarit was just nearly cemented to the body. A helpful yet misguided salesperson pried them apart and now all my lenses mount properly. I like the missing vulcanite 🙂

I only let people use it when Im right there, no harm so far, I'll take the risk. Its a beautiful thing to spread the Leica love
