... caught the strap and it fell from my desk to the carpeted floor, no lens.
Camera seems fine, except that the rangefinder adjustment is now off again. The patch image is now as far down as it was up before I adjusted it. Perhaps I should have just dropped the camera and it would have been fine.
Seems like there is some slack in the adjustment held by a spring which will slip under even moderate shock. Maybe the alignment problem is no so much down to adjustment at manufacture but more susceptibility to shock and vibration.
Now where did I put those tooth-picks...
