I finally hit the darkroom last night....here are some BW scans I made from prints at a local drum circle....

the color one is another drum circle i happened to stumble upon the next day..what is it with Long Beach and drums?

shot with my m2 and vc 35ver 1 and neopan 1600

color one was shot with a 21mm avenon and fuji press 400
 
Good work! I particularly like the 1st B&W & the way you caught the light illuminating the little girl's face.
 
There is a group of drummers that meet in Huntington Beach, right next to the pier. They all seem very intense and consumed by the rhythm. They are usually out there saturdays or sundays. It's outside, in the sun, so there's lot's o' light. Drummers are kinda fun to photograph, they move slow, and they generally don't mind you getting up close.
