I am soooo frustrated. I can't get rid of the dust in my pictures. It is noticeable when at f8 or f 16. I can't see it at f2.8. I have cleaned my sensor with Green Clean wet/dry swab system. I have used dust off on the sensor and my lenses. Whenever I change lenses the dust spots move. The dust is either moving around in my M8 body or it is in/on my lenses. The dust appears regardless of which lens I use. Any advice???????

Thank you.

Rocket Blower by Giotto. And keep the rear of your lenses as dustfree as you can. The Visible Dust wet cleaning system is the most effective.

Well, at leas the m8 doesn't pretend to have a dust filter/shaker, like my d300 does.... after 2 months it's got quite a collection going, and it shakes the sensor every time it turns off. The ONLY camera that has a working dust shaker is Olympus DSLRs, in which their supersonic wave filter thing actually works. 1.5 years with an olympus e-410, and not even one tiny dot of dust at f22.

Try to minimize time with lenses off. As Jaap said, keep the rear elements of lenses clean. Don't change in dusty environments. Try to hold the lens mount facing to the ground when you change lenses. The visible dust wet cleaning system I second as being the most effective as well.

Forgot to say: Switch off camera when changing lenses. (it may be a myth, but it seems to work...)

I concur - although I would guess that whilst the camera is on the sensor would be charged with electrical current, attracting dust

I've often wondered about that.
The shutter curtain covers the sensor when the lens is removed.
On/Off shouldn't make a difference, unless one presses the shutter release with the lens removed.

did somebody say DUST???

did somebody say DUST???

speaking of dust frustrations, watch "The Golden Compass". Won't help you with your M8, or his D300, or my RD-1, but it may be diverting!
