Dutch camera fair at sun 28 March

Interesting, if the weather continues to be dark and rainy.....

A friend and I are planning to spend the afternoon in the "Loonse & Drunense Duinen" with some cameras, but the forecast doesn't sound too promising. And then there's the Rangefinder Meet in Breda too.

As the song goes: Perhaps, perhaps, perhaps

Way off the map for me, but since I just cancelled this afternoons outdoor model shoot due to excessive rain heading this way, I too might be going to Houten after all to get me some vitamin P (photography) this weekend. Breda really is much too far away for me.

EDIT: PS Will van Manen will be a stand holder on the Houten Camera fair, just so you know...

I'll be there for sure, one of the things I look forward to the most! One of my new year's resolution was not to buy any cameras this year, and I intend to keep it. But I need film, hope I can find some recently expired stuff. And you'll never know what you find there, will be great fun!

Never heard of a rangefinder meet in Breda though, that's sounds interesting too.

Token contribution to OP: Sorry, I can't make it this time but will keep an eye on the schedule. Maybe some year it will coincide with one of my trips back to Germany. Just a 2 hour drive from my home base (Aachen / Aken).

OT question while I have you guys: I'll be in Aachen two weeks from now. Thinking about a trip to Tongeren on Sunday 4/11 for the Antiekmarkt. Never been there before. Any tips? Should I expect much in the way of cameras?

Never met Van Maanen. Didn't know he was also selling camera gear, or is he just advertising about his CLA-business?

the show is over, and here is the catch of the day:

Kentmere b&w film iso 100
B+W Uv filter 85mm! (only one filter in this size at the whole show)
Leitz ltm-m 90mm adapter
Russar 20mm ltm lens with (IMHO) beautiful viewfinder

Will does not sell gear, but he is there to give advice on repairs and CLA's. I wanted to ask him about my M2 (vertical alignment got bumped out of whack) but I forgot I left that camera in my other car, of which the battery chose to die yesterday morning...

Anyway, I finally got to Houten and bought a mountain of 2005 expired Fuji Superia 400. 13 * 3 rolls of 24 exposures for 12 (twelve) Euros! I already used some of this batch and it works perfectly well when exposed at 200. A steal!

Also got some slighty more expensive expired film and a three pack of fresh Ilford FP4+.

Final thing I bought was an A12 magazine for my Hasselblad 500 C/M.

I have a holiday coming up, boy will I burn some film!

Ron, how much did you pay for the Russar? Looks like a nice lens!
I suppose I got lucky finding a Yashica Electro 35 CC (35/1.8 lens) for 10e...

Damn, I'm not frequenting here as often as I'd like. Completely missed this announcement. Three years ago was the last time I went to Houten and I had planned to go this year. Ron, congrats on the Russar set. It looks lovely! Care to share the price...?
