Hi everyone,
It's been some time but, this is my first post on RFF. I thought people might be interested in these rather quick shots with the E-P1 with a 4omm Nokton SC. These were done in low light and hand held. enjoy.

Matt

Last one - this is with the kit lens...

Thanks for posting these images. That kit lens looks VERY good judging by this one image. If you get a chance, could you post some close-ups (of the basil for comparison?) using the kit lens? Thanks.

Is the kit lens the zoom or the 17?

Also, how do you find focusing with the 40MM? I have the 40 SC and I just ordered the EP1 today and am anxious to try out the 40 (still need to order the M to M43 adapter though).

focusing with the 40mm - it's not really hard, about two years ago I had my Hasselblad stolen and one of the things I missed was the waist level view finder. I'll admit I'm not one of those "no viewfinder - not interested" guys, so it's not too big a concern with me. One thing I really try to stay aware of is the fact that you don't need to focus perfectly - your focal range will take care of the small details - you just have to get there.

The bottom image is with the zoom lens. Unlike the review at the online photographer - I have no problems with the build quality - it's not a voigtland (or leica) but it's ok. I mean its just ok - it's not going to give anyone G.A.S. after they see that lens.

I'll try to get some shots of the basil this weekend with the kit lens.
