Wow nice camera! Dings are common on these - maybe the metal was thin I'm not sure why. If you have the camera serviced someday a good tech can often remove dents. The Tessar is a wonderful lens, not as sharp or contrasty as the later Sonnar models, but it has a certain look to it which is very pleasing.
